How We Install Custom Catios in Portland (Without Ruining Your Weekend)
The #1 fear our clients have isn't about the catio itself. It's about the mess. They picture weeks of loud saws, sawdust in their landscaping, and a crew of strangers taking over their backyard.
That is the old way of building. At Portland Catios, we believe the installation should be as seamless as the final product. We’ve perfected a "Quiet Build" system designed for busy homeowners in Lake Oswego and West Linn, Happy Valley, and everybody else who value their peace and quiet.
Here is how our 3-Step Process works:
Step 1: The "Forensic" Measurement (1 Hour)
We check your home's siding material (HardiePlank vs. Cedar vs. Stucco).
We locate hidden studs and electrical lines for secure anchoring.
We measure your window frames down to the millimeter for a perfect, draft-free fit.
The result: A precise digital blueprint.
Step 2: The Off-Site Build This is where the magic happens, in our shop, not your yard. 90% of the construction happens here. We cut the lumber, assemble the frames, install the coyote proof mesh. and apply the first coats of stain. This means all the noise and sawdust stay at our facility.
Step 3: The "Surgical" Installation (1 Day) Because everything is pre-built, installation day is quiet and fast.
Arrival: Our crew arrives typically around 9:00 AM.
Assembly: We bring the pre-made panels into your yard and bolt them together like high-end IKEA furniture (but much stronger).
Anchoring: We secure the structure to your house using leak-proof flashing techniques.
The "White Glove" Cleanup: By 4:00 PM, we are gone.
The Result: You go to work in the morning, and come home to a finished architectural catio. No mess, no stress.
